Our Story
Our story begins with Cymphani Cyrine, a music producer originally from East St. Louis, who moved to Colorado Springs in 2013 to start a new chapter in her life. What began as a passion for music quickly turned into a larger vision for building community and uplifting artists.
In 2014, while attending college, Cymphani discovered an independent artist named FAYRO. Inspired by his talent, they began collaborating, combining their skills and creativity to build platforms that showcased emerging artists, hosted live shows, and connected local communities through music. Over the next two years, their partnership grew, both personally and professionally, as they navigated the music scene and honed their craft.
In 2017, a trip to Memphis became a turning point. FAYRO’s mother passed away, leaving him responsible for helping his younger brother finish school. Choosing family first, Cymphani and FAYRO stayed in Memphis, continuing to build music, host shows, and develop 901 Indy Underground, a podcast highlighting local artists, nonprofits, and community events. Though the show slowed due to COVID and professional challenges, its impact is still felt today.
During their time in Memphis, their home became a hub for friends, artists, and collaborators. They hosted parties, fish fries, and recording sessions — and Cymphani always cooked for their guests. Food became more than a meal; it was a way to welcome people, spark connection, and create community. This behind-the-scenes tradition eventually inspired Welcome to the Cookout, a platform where food and community take center stage.
In April 2025, Cymphani launched Cymph’s Kitchen in Union City, TN. Though the home-based food service was short-lived, it quickly gained popularity, showing the power of combining food, storytelling, and connection. From that experience, Welcome to the Cookout Podcast was born — a space for interviews, music, and stories that highlight artists, nonprofits, and community initiatives, while celebrating family, faith, and togetherness.
Cymphani and FAYRO travel with their six dogs, including two service dogs supporting FAYRO, an Army veteran living with PTSD. Together, they create experiences that bring people together, offering food, music, and storytelling to inspire, connect, and give back.
Today, Welcome to the Cookout is more than a podcast or food platform. It’s a traveling movement — combining donation-based meals, music performances, community initiatives, and authentic storytelling — a celebration of family, community, and lasting impact.
